    • Heatiest Congratulations to Mr. Nitin Kohli & Mr. Pargat Singh, Working President, Surjit Hockey Jalandhar on their election as President & Secretary, of the Hockey Punjab, respectively. In the meeting of Hockey Punjab, held yesterday, body elected Mr. Nitin Kohli, a local businessman as President while Mr. Pargat Singh, MLA, Jalandhar Cantt. retained the post of Secretary of the Hockey India. Mr. Nitin Kohli replaced the former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal as President. The meeting of the Hockey Punjab (HI) was held after 21-10-2009 and First time in Punjab, a hockey player became its Secretary of , the honour gone to Mr. Pargat Singh Olympian who served Hockey Punjab 12 years. It was also for the first time that post of the President of Punjab Hockey was given to Non Police Officer & Politician Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the then Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab as earlier it was the DGP who was the ex-Officio President. Surjit Hockey Society, Jalandhar congratulate Mr. Nitin kohli & Sardar Pargat Singh on their election as President & Secretary of Hockey Punjab,respectively.
