38th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament Punjab & Sind Bank beat Indian Air Force by 4-3 Indian Railways beat CRPF by 4-2 Jalandhar October 24, 2021 Holder Punjab & Sind Bank Delhi beat Indian Air Force Delhi by 4-3 to earn three points in Pool C during second day of the 38th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Katoch Astroturf Hockey Stadium Jalandhar Cantt here this evening. In the second match Indian Railways beat CRPF Delhi by 4-2 and earned three points in league stage. In Pool C Indian Air Force Delhi displayed fast hockey against Holders Punjab & Sind Bank Delhi. In the 4th minute of the play Air force’s Lovedeep Singh converted the first penalty corner (1-0). In the second quarter’s 25th minute Air force consolidated with field goal from the stick of Sukhdev Singh (2-0). At half time Indian Air force was leading by 2-0. After changing ends in third quarter Air force consolidated their lead by field goal scored by Ajit Pandit in the 38th minute (3-0). After that Punjab & Sind Bank bounce back their Gaganpreet Singh converted the penalty corner to reduce the margin (1-3) in 41st minute. In 46th minute Bankman mounted pressure and their International Player Satbir Singh scored the field goal (2-3). In fourth quarter of the play in 36th minute Bank’s Rajat Minz scored the equalizer (3-3). In 57th minute Bank’s Harmanjit Singh scored the winning goal from left flank (4-3). In the second match in Pool D Indian Railways displayed calculated hockey from the word go. In the 24th minute Railways Partap lakra converted the penalty corner (1-0). In the 33rd minute Railways’s Joginder Singh again converted penalty corner (2-0). In the very next minute CRPF’s Jovejeet Singh reduced the margin (1-2). In 37th minute Railway’s Ajay Yadav scored (3-1). In 39th minute Railway’s Joginder Singh again sounded the board from penalty corner conversion (4-1). In 57th minute of the play CRPF able to reduce the margin with field goal of Wasiullah khan from right flank (2-4). 25th October’s match Army XI v/s Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala - 2-00 Pm Punjab National Bank Delhi v/s Indian Navy Mumbai – 3-30 pm
